Sue opere sono presenti in molte importanti collezioni in Italia e all’estero. Vive e lavora ad Arquà Petrarca (Pd) nella sua casa-atelier sui Colli Euganei. Babetto è considerato il maggior esponente del gioiello d’artista contemporaneo della scuola padovana, nota nel mondo per la sua ricerca molto avanzata nel campo dell’oreficeria d’autore. Rappresenta nel mondo il modello italiano di oreficeria contemporanea, oltre ogni decorativismo. La sua ricerca di forme pure, rigorosamente geometriche, non perde mai di vista la funzione pratica del gioiello, oggetto sempre indossabile e godibile, mentre la raffinatissima creatività lo porta ad associare l’oro a materie non convenzionali come la plastica e il vetro, e a praticare lavorazioni all’avanguardia e di grande savoir-faire tecnico, come il niello di cui è riconosciuto maestro. His search for pure, rigorously geometric shapes, never loses sight of the practical function of the jewel, intended as an always wearable and enjoyable object, while the refined creativity leads him to associate gold with unconventional materials such as plastic and glass, and to practice avant-garde processes with great technical savoir-faire. Since he has exhibited in Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, UK, Japan, USA. His works are part of many important collections in Italy and abroad. He lives and works in Arquà Petrarca (Padua) in his house-atelier in the Euganean Hills.
