Finally!!! This book is over 😀.

By far the toughest book that I ever read, it took me 4 months almost to complete it during which a few times I found myself uninterested and almost put it down a couple of book was like history textbook of the American Civil War.I also got a feeling that this book may be a British perspective to the American Civil War since Lord Charnwood being British.

About the Book -

The author has done a great job explaining the politics of Lincoln's period, the build up towards the American Civil War focusing mainly on the reasons as to why the War took place. The book focused less on describing lincoln's childhood, adulthood, his love life, his courtship with Mary Todd, his relationship with his kid's and his bouts of depression.

What the book perfectly did was elaboratly explain Lincoln's relationship with his Colleague's, Peer's and men of prominent position during his rise to power, presidential nomination and campaign and tenure as the President of the United States of relationship with people like EDWARD STANTON, ULYSSES S. GRANT, WILLIAM HENRY SEWARD, ROBERT E L
