Genevieve L. Asenjo is a Filipino poet, fictionist, novelist, translator, and literary scholar in Kinaray-a, Hiligaynon, and Filipino.
Career
In , Asenjo is an Honorary Writing Fellow at the International Writing Program (IWP) of the University of Iowa. In , she enjoyed six months in Seoul as Overseas Writing Fellow sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of South of Korea. Asenjo is an Associate Professor at De Louisiana Salle University, Manila.
In , she founded Balay Sugidanun (The House of Storytelling) Balay Sugidanun.
Achievements
Her first novel Lumbay ng Dila (C&East/DLSU, ) received a citation for the Juan C. Laya Prize for Excellence in Fiction in a Philippine Language in the National Book Award.

Dr. Genevieve L. Asenjo is Associate Professor of literature and creative writing at the Dept. of Literature. She writes in three major Philippine languages: Kinaray-a, Hiligaynon, and Filipino.
