Anand Babu (Tamil: ஆனந்த் பாபு) is an Indianfilmactor who is working in Tamil and Telugu films. He is the son of legendary comedy actor Nagesh.[1]
Career[edit]
He first entered the film industry with Tamil films and also played leading roles in Telugu as well as supporting roles. He is also well known for his best dancing abilities.[2] Anand's acting debut was in the Tamil film Thangaikkor Geetham in directed by T. Rajendar.
He appeared in many films in the early s. Despite his solid beginning in film industry, he has faced a steady decline. His Telugu films include Bhale Mitrulu (), Mamasri (), Illu Illalu Pillalu (), Maa Variki Pelli () and Kishkinda Kanda (). He has also acted in some Telugu and Tamil TV serials.[3]
After long back, he appeared in Aadhavan () directed by K. S. Ravikumar.[4]

ஆம் ஆண்டு ரி.ராஜேந்தர் இயக்கத்தில் வெளிவந்து வெற்றி வாகை சூடிய ‘தங்கைக்கோர் கீதம்’ என்ற படமே இவர் அறிமுகமான படம். அதனையடுத்து ‘நியாயம் கேட்கிறேன்’ படத்தில் நடித்தவர் தொடர்ந்து கே.எஸ்.ரவிகுமார் இயக்கத்தில் இவர் நடித்த ‘சேரன் பாண்டியன்’ படம் இவருக்குப் பெயரைப் பெற்றுக் கொடுத்தது. இப்படத்திலும் ‘எம்.ஜி.ஆர்.நகர்’ படத்திலும் இவர் நகைச்சுவைக் கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடித்திருப்பார். இவரது தந்தையைப்பற்றி ரசிகர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் நன்கு தெரியும். அவர்தான் பிரபல நகைச்சுவை ஜாம்பவான் நாகேஷ் அவர்கள். இவருடன் பிறந்தவர்கள் மகேஷ் பாபு, ராஜேஷ் பாபு ஆகியோர். இவரது திருமணம் ஆம் ஆண்டு நடைபெற்றது. இவரது மனைவி பெயர் சாந்தி. இத்தம்பதியருக்கு கஜேஷ், ஜோஸ்வா, ஜான், ரெஜினா மேரி ஆகிய நான்கு குழந்தைகள். இதில் கஜேஷ் படங்களில் நடித்து வருகிறார். மருத்துவப் படிப்பிற்கான இடம் கிடைத்தபோதும் இவரது கவனம் திரையுலகத்தை நோக்கித் திரும்பியது. இல் நடிக்கத் தொடங்கியவர் ஆம் ஆண்டு வரை இடைவிடாது நடித்து வந்தார். அதன்பிறகு இவரது பாதை மாறியது. மதுவிற்கு அடிமையானவர் உடல் நலக்குறைவின் காரணமாக சிறிது காலம் நடிப்பதிலிருந்து ஒதுங்கியிருந்தார். ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் மீண்டும் திரைப்படங்களில் நடித்து வருகிறார். இதுவரை க்கும் மேற்பட்ட படங்களில் நடித்துள்ளார். இவர் ’மௌன ராகம்’ உள்ளிட்ட ஏராளமான தொலைக்காட்சித் தொடர்
